JURISPRUDENCE.

In this view
Jurisprudence may be defined the art science that
teaches what is or ought to might be done towards
the bringing men to act in conformity to this end,
by putting a force upon their actions pleasure artificial and pain according to them in
virtue of the will of certain particular persons appointed
or suffer'd for that purpose.

ETHICS.

Ethics or Morality [is] the Science that teaches
what is or ought to is likely or might be done towards towards
the bringing men to act in conformity to this
end by what actions they are impeded or forwarded by men in general abstracted from the particular destruction referring to the depending on other Arts as well as such which Legislation can reach as in this — it cannot by means of the natural force without any such force by pointing out pleasure &
pain accruing to each in virtue of the voluntary spontaneous dispositions
of the rest in his behalf. towards him.

DIVINITY.

Divinity the Science that teaches what is done towards the
bringing men to act in conformity to this the
purposes of Ethics & Legislation" end by pleasure and pain to accrue by
virtue of the will of a supreme being in
a state of future existence. state.
