sort of existence is on the same footing in this respect with a non-existent
being: if the necessity of the subject will excuse my using such an expression both equally devoid if not of sentiment yet of reflection one equally incapable of anticipating
and regretting what they it lose.

As to the mischief to the State; that must arise consist
from in the loss [of the product] of the labor of the benefit of the
person in question employed either a benefit which consists arises from either either first in the
quantity of the Instruments of enjoyment which he furnishes
to the State beyond what he himself consumes

labor is diverted from that end to the providing him for his
