BUILDER'S ACT.
9 No Door Case Window Lintil Breast Summer Story Post or Plate shall be made in
any Post Flank or Party Wall unless where two Houses are laid together & occupied
as one.
[Under "Front Walls"] FRONT & REAR WALLS
No Cornice or Projection of Wood shall be put up against any any Front or Rear Walls
in any Public Street or Place except to any House already built or to be built except to Frontispieces
of Doors and to such Bow-windows as are permitted in Art.....
PENALTY
The Penalty for transgressing these directions in any instance Master or Head Builder, Master Bricklayer or Master Workman is on the Master Builder Workman causing
such Transgression is 50£ to be recover'd by Action at in Westminster Hall
So on any common Workman or Servant to the Master Workman transgressing without his
Direction Persity or Consent Ten Pounds to be recover'd before a Justice of the Peace No Provision for when the Laborer makes the Irregularity
A Master Workman against whom any Penalty is recover'd for any transgression
must repair it within 9 months or after that on pain of being subjected to that the Penalty
recover'd over again by a fresh Action; & so after this a second payment Recovery of the Penalty
& so on. Qu. what shall be said to be a Recovery. The Judgment or Executive?
