A the peculiar misfortune it is, that this venture attacks
only the nobler parts of the body politic: them of
birth of fortune, & of education. the pillars

all-powerful to remove banish every grievance which they do feel or know
they are not exposed to swallow it, nor if they
were, would they be sensible of it's malignity.
they understand not, how a mechanical motion
once made of the lips or of the hand, should
chill for ever the powers of the heart &
understanding head. — They comprehend not the hardship
of men being as the question is stated to them obliged to think still, as they have
thought before; unheedful of the consequences
of so thinking, & preserved by a for happy ignorance
from the temptation of thinking
