A Scheme calculated to give the ascendant to a
novel over an established party, whatever superiority
in point of reason the tenets of the former might
possess over those of the latter might give just no
cause of dissatisfaction & alarm —

To give any discouragement to what has been
so long in possession of being reputed Orthodoxy,
much more to proscribe it, would be an injustice
of which those who adhere to it either whether from out of conviction
or the point of Honor would have very
just Title to complain v. Burnet V. e. speaking of the accipia of Q. Eliz. Shaxton & Porstall confirmed Papists on the point of honor because they had turned so often they were ashamed to turn again.
