The books have selected as specimens All these, with many others that might be enumerated are
remarkable for either having the promotion of religious & moral Sentiments
for their direct object or for taking every opportunity of
inculcating them incidentally — Minister to quit his Habit & his Desk. Parishioners however still to keep their Hats remain uncover'd in reverence to the place without entering into controverted
points except such wherein all Protestants join in
opposing an against the Papists — and stand & coincide wit perfectly with the Scheme of regular Devotion — some of these in particular,
would be more effectual preservatives against
Popery than any thing which could come within the
plan of a regular Sermon.
