§.2. Fallacies classed
Ch. 7. Anti-rational arguments or fallacies.
1. The No-thinkers, Practical man's, or Blind Horse's
argument.
[2. The Profligate's Improvement-hater's argument]
[3. The self-contradicting argument.]
In those such instances, in which, after the nature
explanation has been given of the nature of the
fallacy, any thing remains that can contribute
to the exposure of it, observations under the head
of exposure are accordingly given.

if not, exemplification
is given
in lieu of exposure.
But in many instances, after when in addition to the
indication given by intimation afforded by the general term fallacy
it was a simple explan the nature of the
fallacy had been simply merely explained, it what appears
sufficiently evident is nothing that from any
thing that can be added for the purpose of exposure
the irrelevancy of it can n inefficiency of it in
the character of a rational argument can not be
placed on any clearer or stronger ground. In these
cases the head of exposure is omitted, and in lieu
of it examples are given [of classes] of cases in
in which the fallacy in question has been in use
to be employed.
