Insensible to the action of any personal interest opposite to their
public, or they are compleatly insensible to it, or if sensible
to it they are in the constant habit of sacrificing it to their
share in the public interest

Nothing can be more compleatly Utopian than the language
and or pretended opinions of the Idol-worshippers. In that Fallacy.

Against every proposal in favour of reform — of reform
in any part, and to any extent, how small narrow soever —
how great broad soever in the field of legislation and
government — is romantic — Utopian,

Thus by the superior wisdom superiority and penetration
and discernment of which in is given by this
argument thus it this argument is in to high degree
recommended to favour and to use.

But in this respect how does the matter stand
in point of fact? — Exactly, as hath we have been saying, the reverse.
