of July – The Hammocks were aired every day.
I went after to see the Prisoners, and I think
there was no more ill there than in this room.
I speak of both ships.
I took the Hammocks down and adopted
Platforms, allowing two feet to each man.
Our loss on board the Censor in July and August
was th 3 to 1 in proportion to that of the Justitia.
In September and October 2 to 1: and in Novr.
it was nearly equal. From that period the Censor
has been healthy and the most healthy of the two.
There are 370 on board both Ships – on
board the Censor about 249 – 125 is the highest
number ever on board the Justitia.

The Beds fold up in both vessels.
There is a space of in the Censor of 20 feet:
and a space of 7 feet in the other.
The Justitia is 7 feet high in the lower deck
and 5 feet 6 1/2 Inches and a half high in the Upper
Deck. The Censor is 6 feet 1 Inch high in the
Upper Deck and 5 feet 6 1/2 Inches high in the Lower
Deck.
There is a row of great Port-holes upon each
Deck, which are open in the Night except
when it rains. The Prisoners can open those
Holes.
