know the Judges in their Charges had mentd. the
Clause in the Convict Act yet I found not the
least attention had been paid to it.

to wash it as Mr. Campbell thought the people might

Experience that the most healthful Goals were those
that were washed every day. I referred him then
to Tothill Fields Bridewell & Clerkenwell as they
would be the most unhealthful Goals of any if it was
not for washing. I desired him to wait upon Dr.
Heberden, & he said he would.
