To Mr Secretary Coke War Office Dublin

Sir

By commission for Sir J. Parnell I take the
liberty of troubling you with the annexed paper containing
notes and a few corrections and notes for a little book of mine intitled
Panopticon
which he tells me I understand from him was committed to your care.

Upo If any of the passages in question are already printed,
the corresponding corrections may be published at the end. There
will be a Postscript, for the completion of which I am using
my best diligence – I have the honour to be
Sir etc.

I can say nothing as to the engravings except that I hope
to receive them before New Years day, but have no expectation
of them before Xmas.
