Grant of a Superannuation Annuity

General Panopticon Penitentiary House at Place this day of Month Year
Grant of a Superannuation Annuity from the Governor of the said Penitentiary House to A. P. Penitentiary Man therein.

Know all Men, that in pursuance of the Statute of 34. Geo: 3. Ch. §
VI. I J. B. Governor of the said House in consideration of the sum of [£ s d]
being the amount of such part of the earnings of the said A. P. for the year ending
this day as is applicable to this purpose, do hereby grant unto the said A. P. a clear Annuity
of [£ s d] a year for the term of his life: to commence from his Age of
[] years: payable in half yearly payments, the first payment to be made on the
day of [Month Year]: if the said A. P. be then alive. And for the just & regular
payment of the same I do hereby bind myself, my Heirs, Executors, Administrators,
Assigns, & Successors. As Witness my hand & seal

Instructions to the Annuitant:

stating the provisions of law of which he and others are concerned to be informed in
relation to this Grant.

Article. 1. Payments due upon this Grant are (unless at your request otherwise
ordered as below Art. 3) to be always made at the said Penitentiary House: (and unless
for your benefit otherwise ordered as below Art. 2.) each half yearly sum will, on the
day when the same is become due, or so soon after as it is claimed, be paid at one payment:

Art. 2. For your benefit of at any time you should in the judgment of the Governor, be
not likely to take due care of such a sum, in such manner as to make the same last untill
the next half yearly payment shall become due, he may instead of paying it all at once,
pay it out to you in quarterly, monthly, weekly, or other instalments. [34. Geo: 3. § 6
