Engagement of A. P. quondam Penitentiary Man under the Statue of 34.
Geo: 3. Ch. § VIII, in the Service of the Governor of the General Panopticon Penitentiary
House at the Metasylum.

I. Recitals.
1. Whereas the Penitentiary-Term of the said A. P. doth this day expire —
[Or if this be not his first engagement here set forth the several preceding engagements]
2. And whereas for the space of one year next ensuing (tomorrow the being the
first day thereof) the said A. P. is willing on the terms herein after mentioned to enter
into the service of the said Governor at the said Metasylum, and the said Governor
is willing to take him into the same —

II. Servant's undertakings
It is accordingly agreed between the said parties as follows, that is to say.
1. The said A. P. shall during the said year serve the said Governor at the said Metasylum
or in any other place or places within this Kingdom of Great Britain whereunto
for the service of the said Governor the said A. P. shall be commanded: doing to the
best of his power all such lawful business to which by command or on behalf of the said
Governor he shall have been sent.
2. he said A. P. shall during the time aforesaid behave himself soberly, as also
honestly, dutifully, obediently, faithfully and diligently towards the said Governor and
all persons in authority under him, and honestly & peacefully towards all fellow servants
of him the said A. P.
