Warrant of Assistance for Conveyance of a Ward never Emancipated.

Warrant of Assistance in favour of F. G. in quality of Friendly Guardian under
the General Panopticon Penitentiary Act 34. Geo: 3. ch: § VIII for assisting him
in the Conveyance of A. W. quondam Penitentiary Man, his Ward, to the Metasylum.

I. Preparatory Examination.

Be it remembered that on this day before me A. J. one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the aforesaid cometh F. G. of [Abode particularly
described] [Occupation] and upon his Oath saith.

1. That on the day of [Month Year] the Wardship of one A. W. quondam Penitentiary
man was under the Statute aforesaid. § VIII. by the Governor of the General Panopticon
Penitentiary House assigned to this Complainant for one year from the date aforesaid;
[as by one part of the Deed of Assignment in that behalf made, and by him the said
F. G. to me now exhibited doth appear.]

2. That in the said Deed of Assignment is a clause authorising this Complainant at
any time within the said year to surrender the Body of his said Ward to the said Governor
or his Representative at the Metasylum in [] there to serve
as by the said Statute is provided.

3. That this Complainant is now desirous so to surrender the said A. W. accordingly.

4. That is is accordingly the intention of this Complainant either in person or by some fit
agent on or about next to set out on the journey to the said Metasylum, taking
with him his said Ward.

5. But forasmuch as he apprehendeth [or as he is not certain but] that his said Ward,
although in Law and Duty bound, would not be willing thither to repair, but might during
the course of such intended journey be tempted to escape, and from his bounden service at the
said Metasylum unlawfully to absent himself or utterly to desert.

6. In consideration thereof this Complainant now prayeth me that in pursuance of the authority
given in that behalf by the said Statute Sect. VIII: Art. I would issue in his favour
a Warrant of assistance directed to all Officers & Ministers of our Lord the King at every place
through which in his way to the said Metasylum there may be occasion for the said A. W.
with or without his said Guardian to pass, requiring them to yield unto him the said F. G.
