Petition for Renewal of Wardship Assignment.

Humble Petition from Q. P. quondam Penitentiary-man to the Governor of the
General Panopticon Penitentiary House according to the Statute of 34. Geo: 3. Ch. §.,
praying the Renewal of the Wardship of the said Q. P. at the Town of [] in
[] instead of the said Penitentiary House.

Honoured Sir
This is humbly to inform you —
1. That my present Form under my Friendly Guardian F. G. of &c expires on the
day of next.
2. That he is willing to take me under his Guardianship for the ear ensuing.
3. That his residence is at &c
4. That my residence is at &c
5. That it would be a considerable inconvenience and expence to him were he to travel
from aforesaid to the said Penitentiary House for the purpose of renewing his Bond
and receiving a renewal of his Assignment, as by his said Bond he is bound to do
6. That it would be a very heavy inconvenience & expence to me were I to be obliged to
travel in like manners for the purpose of re-executing on my part the said Assignment.

This is therefore humbly to request —
1. That in pursuance of the said Statute you would be pleased to send the said Bond to
the Town of [] in the County of [] to the Postmaster there
that he may see the said F. G. re-execute the same.
2. also a proper Renewal made by you of the assignment of my Wardship that he the said Postmaster may see the said F. G. [and me your Petitioner] execute the same.
☞ If the Ward living at a distance from the Guardian desires to be have the assignment
sent for him to re-execute at a different Town from that chosen by the Guardian then
let him add
3. also to send the said Renewal of assignment when executed as aforesaid to the
Postmaster of the Town of in the County of
that he may see your Petitioner execute the same
For so doing you will much oblige

ever grateful Servant.
