Panopticon Bill Form Indemnification-Money

[H] Indemnification Draught

Indemnification Draught drawn upon the Governor of the General Panopticon Penitentiary
House in favour of A.D. for indemnification-money due under the 34. GeoL 3.ch.

On account of the Post-liberation felony of Q.P.
[Town & County] this day of [Month Year]
To the Governor of the General Panopticon Penitentiary House.


I. Recitals

1. Whereas by the List of Penitentiary Admissions received from you by thie Count
on the... day of [Month Year] it appears that a Felon Convict whose Identification-
Mark (Letter for Letter and Figure for Figure) is [Q.P. &...] was on the
day of [Month Year] admitted into your said House.

2. And whereas by the List of Penitentiary Discharges received from you as aforesaid on the
day of [Month Year] it appears that the said Q.P. was on the... day of [Month
Year
] discharged from thence [or in case of escape say did on the... day be escape from
thence.]

3. And whereas by comparison of the said days of admission & discharge it appears that
the said Q.P. had in quality of a Penitentiary Prisoners under the said Act continued
under your care for the full term of four years.

4. And whereas according to the said term £20 is in your said List of Discharges
admitted to be the sum, to the full amount of which (though not beyond) you may on
account of any Post-liberation offence or offences committed but he said Q.P. be called upon
to pay.

5. And whereas a Prisoner who by his identification-mark appeareth manifestly to be the
said Q.P. hath now on this day of [Month Year] been convicted of a Post-liberation
felony, viz. [Here specify the offence].

6. And whereas by the jury whereby he the said Q.P. has been convicted of the said
offence it has been found that A.D. is the party and the only party damnified by the
same.

7. And whereas by the said jury it has also been found that the damage ot the said A.D.
accruing by reason of the said offence amounts in the whole to the sum of £30 being
equal to the amount of your said maximum of [£20] and more. 8.
