Contract—
Panopticon Bill—
In all cases where the offence is productive of
pecuniary damage to any individual or other party
and the amount of such damage ought already according
to Law to be found by the Jury, or and can
shall have been so found in pursuance of this Act,
the amount of the money so to be paid shall
(subject to the proviso immediately mentioned) be
equal to the value of the goods stolen or to the amount
of any other damage so found.
Provided that the amount of the sum so to be
paid be the said Governor shall not in the respective
events here mentioned exceed the respective sums
here mentioned, that is to say—
£5; if the Offender had been a Penitentiary
Prisoner for one year or more, but less than two years:
£10; if for two years or more, but less than three years:
£15; if for three years or more, but less than four
years: £20 if for four years or more, but less than
five years: And that the same shall not in any
case exceed the sum of £25.

of each man's offences—
Art. 10. Provided nevertheless that this obligation
shall extend to any number of felonies whereof
the same offender may come to have been convicted,
so long as the total of the sums to be paid
does not in the several events just mentioned
exceed the respective sums just mentioned.
