12 Persons whose settled
abodes are distant
to add there abodes
for three last
nights
Art.12. If the abode of such intended Visitor
as given in by him in mannner as aforesaid should
not be either within the County in which such
Penitentiary House shall come to be situated, or
within the City of London or within any of the
Counties immediately contiguous to the said City,
such intended Visitor may be required under the
same penalties, and with the same powers of enforcing
compliance to add in like manner the
several Houses or other Habitations in which he
or she passed the three nights immediately preceding
the day of such intended visit.
13 Further examination
at discretion by Justice,
Sub-Governor, or
Chaplain
Art. 13. Any such intended Visitor may
moreover under the same penalties and with the
same powers as aforesaid, be further examined by
any Justice of the Peace, or by the Sub-Governor
or the Chaplain of the said House: for which
purpose an oath may be administered by the said
Chaplain: and such examination may be to the same effect
as that herein above prescribed in relation
to persons proffering themselves in the capacity of
Friendly Guardians.
