Art. 17. So with regard to any acts which to the
said Court may appear indicative of an intention
on the part of any person at large to promote
escape on the part of the prisoner or of any prisoner.

Punishment for
unlawful liberation
from Metasylum
Service -
Art. 18. And for the fixing upon the former
basis the security meant to be afforded to the
public by the institution of the Metasylum Be it
enacted that any Metasylum-man or woman who,
without intending absolute desertion but without
justification or excuse shall have absented him
or herself from service otherwise than on the
appointed days & hours of leave on conviction before
a Justice of the Peace be punished with confinement
to hard labour in the General Panopticon
Penitentiary House for any term not greater
than ten times the amount of such time of unlawful
absence: and that without receiving any
such share of earnings as is allowed to the Prisoners
on the said establishment.

thereto -
Art. 19. Any person accessary, whether before
or after the fact, to the unlawful absentation of a
Metasylum-man or woman from service, knowing
or having sufficient reason to believe such absentation
to be unlawful, shall forfeit to the party
grieved
