Art. 24. And to the end that no innocent
person may either through misfortune or even
through simple negligence be subjected to so heavy
an inconvenience and that at whatsoever part of
this his Majesty's kingdom, and that how remote
soever from the said Penitentiary House any such
quondam Penitentiary Prisoner may come to be situated there
may accordingly be always a spare copy ready to
serve for his protection as aforesaid, Be it
enacted that over & above the several copies herein
before respectively directed to be given to such
quondam Prisoner for his own keeping, the Governor
shall at any time at the instance of any
such quondam Prisoner cause to be delivered
to any fit person or persons at the nomination
of such quondam Prisoner one or more copies
of the proper instrument aforesaid, according to
the nature of the case.
