Lists to be accompanied
by blank receipts to be
filled up and returned by
Post —
Art. 5. Along with every such list the Governor shall moreover
send a blank form of an acknowledgment of the receipt
thereof: and such blank acknowledgment shall by the return of
the Post or so soon afterwards as may be, be properly filled
up by the Officer receiving the same and remitted back to the
Governor by the Post.

Such Transmission and
Acknowledgment to be
enforced by each Court —
Art. 6. The Presiding Judge, at the opening of the
Court, shall make enquiry after every such list; whether the
same were duly received, and if received the receipt thereof
duly acknowledged: if the same was not received, shall either at
once make Report of such default to the Court of King's Bench
to the end the said Court may examine thereinto at the next
appearance of the Governor, or else order the Officer to write in
relation thereto to the said Governor: if the same were received
but not acknowledged, and by examination of the Officer or otherwise
it appears that such failure were owing to the default of
the said Officer, the Court shall impose a fine upon him to
the amount of not less than 10£ nor more than 40£, to be
applied to any charitable purpose at the discretion of the
said Court.
