Art. 7. For delivery of every such Letter of which the direction

Post Master's fee for
delivery --
shall be conceived in general terms as aforesaid the Post Master may
take for his fee 1S together with 1d1/2 per mile for every compleat mile
(taking nothing for fractions) which the place of delivery shall be distant
from the Post Office: which said fee the person to whom delivery
shall have been made as aforesaid (and in the case of an Officiating
Minister whether he be the Parson or Curate of the Church or some
other Minister Officiating for the occasion) shall pay on delivery, receiving
the same again from the Overseer to whom he shall have delivered the
letter over as aforesaid.
Art. 8. Every letter so directed as aforesaid, and in the usual

manner into the Post (to wit either into the General or the Penny
Post according to the limits) shall primâ facie be presumed to have
been duly received: and that as well by the proper Post-Master as by
the proper Minister and Overseer of the Poor as aforesaid.
Art. 9. Such presumption shall moreover be conclusive:

unless any person by whom such Letter ought to have been received shall
at or before the time when in ordinary course of law proof of such
delivery ought to be made, have made proof of the contrary by Oath of
Non-receipt, conceived to the nature of the case.
