1 J. B. follows the letter Long's hands. Long dwells exclusively on the unintelligible and part of it. Gives this unintelligibility as a reason for doing nothing
When the above letter, which in its descent fir journey
from the upper storey floor to the lower I watched
with a degree of vigilance and anxiety that may
be imagined, reached Mr Long — that is when
by hard labour I could get tidings of its having
reached Mr Long I exerted applied myself for an
audience, I not only applied for it as at all times, but for this timeand obtained it with a facility attr
almost unexampled without example and much beyond expectation.and altogether unexpected.
The facility was no more without its equal than its habitual distinction of which it took the place for the reasons it took place. The Idem. Gentleman The case was — he had an impression to convey to
me. With a more than ordinary degree of peevishness
— the habitual dose reinforced perhaps
by an assumed one — he produced the letter. He
