In answer to your letter, dated the instant, I beg
leave to inform you, that 2150 is what I look upon as the
number of Prisoners, for which it may be proper that
provision should be made, in the construction of the intended
Penitentiary House. —

would be to be hunted for and lest it should contain any
matter of a private nature not necessary to the official
purpose. —

By command of the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's
Treasury I have to acquaint you for your information
that 2150 is the number of Prisoners for which their Lordships
think proper that provision shall be made in the
construction of the intended Penitentiary House: and that
the plans and drawings which you will have to prepare
