Jail Improvements

When any single one specific feature of specific advantage has been
produced exhibited stated as possessed by any one the most
improved of the existing prisons to the exclusion
of the Panopticon Penitentiary House, or in a superior
degree, it will be true enough for me to consider.
No such feature pra statement has ever yet been produced made
by any body. Gentlemen have not enacted
inducements to make such statement, had they been able.

The ad features of advantage possessed by a
Penitentiary Panopticon prison – to the exclusion of a prison
upon any other plan – actual or possible – have
been stated at considerable length in the Book
stiled Panopticon the body of which in was made public in
1791 through the medium of the Dublin press.
They have now been stated at still greater length in
a Postscript to that book – a Postscript another
a prior edition of that book printed here before that
the one in Ireland with a Postscript about twice at least
as large as the body of the work. A copy of
this edition never published waits upon your Lordship
in company with these pages. A summary simultaneous
tabular view is given in this edition of them in the form of a Table at
the conclusion of the work. A view of these,
with some subsequent improvements, is to be seen
in my Outline of a System of Pauper Management
as printed in Youngs Annals. A sort of Prospectus,
