§ 14 Secret blabbed by King

But how now Mr Bentham says Your Lordship
why thus always put the worst construction upon every thing?
Your complain of secrets and from your own story
it appears there are no secrets in the case. Before they
things are ripe for being communicated to you. You talk
of mystery, and build a tale theory of guilt upon it: and
when they are communicated – instead of being thankful
for the communication you cry out and tell put a bad name upon it
call it blabbing by Mr Long is upon the
with you and that as it is natural enough does not
please you. Mr King is open to you, and he pleases
you no better: instead of your thanks for his civility, he
gets nothing but a contempt hostility for it.

My Lord, I will tell your Lordship why
I call it blabbing, why it is fortune only that I think for the intelligence
and not Mr King: and why it is to the account
of his indiscretion short sightedness that I set it down and not
to either to his humanity or his justice.

Mr King if not a prime mover was at least
an active member in instrument of the conspiracy confederacy: it was he it was he his
and so efficient and active a member as to come forward and dare to set forward and who set up the dispensing power his independent legislature for the use purpose of it.

That my destiny had actually been fate was actually concealed from
me is in my proof: for the date of the Minute
which fixed itby which it was fixed is the 17th of August: and this the 30th of September was the date
. That concealment was systematical and studied on the
part is also in proof: so far at least any
declaration ready to be sanctioned by oath at any time
may be set down as proof – not to speak of such other
evidence as might perhaps be brought to light. For
so
