I have this day recd your favour of 4th Inst
and having examined our accts find the quantity of
cast Iron sent for the use of the Penitentiary House
was 143 Ton - 0 m - 3 am- 1 lb I am sorry the Genl will sustain
such a loss but think it the best end it will come
to I delayed drawing on you for the Pump
thinking it would be more convenient for you
after Xmas as in some parts Millwrights are only paid
once a year and if convenient to you wish to draw in
abt 6 days at 2 Months for the amt but if it will be
inconvenient please to inform me by return of Post
I have an apointment which is likely to take me
to London and the neighbourhood of Portsmouth abt
middle of next Month if I go shall probably
take a peep at what you are doing there
with respects to Mrs Lloyd and wishing
