We hereby acknowledge to have received [+] [+] at sundry times from
the of 179
to the of 179 from Jeremy
Bentham of Queen's Square Place Westminster Esquire,
by the hands of his brother Brigadier General Samuel
Bentham Since Inspector General of his Majesty's naval
works the sum of one thousand seven hundred and
fifty one pounds, 11s 9d in full for sundry parcels
of cast iron cast at our foundry as above,
or together with incidental charges for patterns &c
on the occasion of the same, the said iron being
cast acc adm according to patterns or drawings with
descriptions furnished to us transmitted from time to time by the said General Bentham or
his Agents, and being, as was all along declared by
him or them b adapted to the plan and intended
to be employed in the construction of a then intended
Penitentiary House then expected to be erected under
the orders of Government.
And we hereby acknowledge and declare whereas
in an account formerly delivered by us, to wit on or
about the 9th of July 1807 there were comprized amongst
other things three articles or items, one having du
to the effect hereinafter mentioned respectively, viz. Feb. 14
4 Feby 14 1798 £309:13s.7d: April 14th 1795 £231:14s:10d
and Sept. 22 1795 £356. 6s. 0d we hereby acknowledge
and declare that the goods for an in respect whereof
the said several sums were charged in our said Account
were parcel of the whole quantity of goods, for an in respect of
which
