1. " The Contract" to speak of the terms of the said requisition ( "thedraught Draft of which" "was laid before
"the Committee of Finance, and reported by them in their
"28th Report" is ( the <add> being a Report bearing date 26t of June 26 1798) in their said the printed Copies of the said
Report printed with divers blanks; by which it appears 26 June 1798
that at the time of this giving in of the said Draft from
the Treasury, the same was had not been executed: but
in the title thereof, the in the description given of the date
the words "in the 36th year of the reign of our Sovereign
"Lord George the third" stated past.

2. Moreover, in In the same Accountant's said first Letter stands 14 July 1807
a paragraph in these words, " This .... The nature of the

"transaction, in the course of which the money in question was
"received by me, and the history of it down to the June
"1798, may be seen in my evidence, as given by me

3. In the very Account in question, as it lay before Mr
Chief Inspector (except the said Item of £50 for wharfage rent of the said cast iron the actual
payment of which experienced an accidental retardment viz.

as therein stated, before the termination of the year 1796.

4. In the Accountants said evidence, referred to as above,
and in the 28th Report bearing date in the 23d of June 1798,
the said "draught of the intended contract" is throughout written
of as not then executed. At any subsequent period point of
time, the then date of the Query point not explicit, whether the said draught was executed
or no, was therefore a matter, which in regard to the proving or disproving,
with a the fact of or the propriety of the disbursements [+] without
[+] in question, being disbursements in the said Account stated, as
being having, on or about
the several previous times in that belief maintained,
