4. Query 1st
Requisition 4
Observation

of
this requisition
1 - In respect of
trouble and expense

(2) 8
On the subject of this fourth and last requisition, complied as it
is with the three preceding ones in the same "Query", this
Accountant begs leave to observe and this in his own behalf
said for his own protection and defence that the sum, being
shown as above to be not only usel needless but irrelevant,
is needlessly vexatious and that in a very high degree, and in
divers respects, viz.

1. By From the several documents lying before the said Mr Chief
Inspector, it appeared that the term during which the
correspondence so called for was carrying on, amounted
or might do for for aught he knew to the contrary
might have amounted, to a period of not less than
fifteen years, and in point of quantity of paper
to a bulk to which no determinate points could were
by any intimation of his, by him to be assigned.

This then was a task labour, to an und unknown
and indefinite extent long continued and burthernsome, and long continued
to be imposed by him upon the Accountant, together
with a reprehensible labour or expense in the article of
copying: and all to no manner of use.

The word any is not, (it is true) in every occasion, synonymous
to the word all: but on the present occasion company it works this context, it was
plainly meant to be so: understood by this Accountant <add> at least it was and is so understood.

A " Any By any such letters or communication" at the
of the Accountant, neither this nor any other
purpose could have been answered. - with Certain letters
having been produced - But are these all? would have been
the requisitequestion with which if course they would have been followed: and so on, till the letters and so forth, produced, had been d expressly declared to be all that had ever passed.
