It being certified

Answer

Supposing the whole amount of the Account
in question mentioned in this item, viz £1,751.11s.9d. allowed in my discharge,
this requisition may, for ought I know, be
a proper one. Accordingly, as will be mentioned presently,
I took immediate measures for complying with
it.

But of this £1,751.11s.9d, it was in the contemplation
of Mr Chief Inspector eventually to disallow as per Query 3 a considerable
part — rather more than half; viz. three articles
amounting together to £897.14s.5d.

In the event of my being allowed the whole, I
am perfectly ready to be at the trouble and expence
of procuring that receipt the one and only use of which
is the serving pro tanto helping contributing so far as it goes
to enable me to and procure for me, my discharge
for the whole.
