J.B. to Inspector General
2
As to any the period subse that has elapsed subsequently
to that point of time the Accountant begs leave
to refer to the purchase made of other lands then at
either of the foregoing periods were in contemplation, viz.
the purchase made of lands at Milbank on or about
the of October 1799 concerning which purchase the
Commissioners themselves have received but the satisfaction
they required — as a natural sufficient and notorious
evidence of what were the intentions of the said Lords
Commissioners, or at least of what they wished to
have considered as being their intentions in respect to
the said establishment at that time.
As to any intentions entertained by them at any
subsequent point of time, the Accountant laboured
used the utmost of his endeavours for many months not to say
years to obtain as well by writing as by personal
application to obtain an explicit declaration of their
intentions, and at or rather the execution of intentions
so manifestly declared: but these his endeavours
proved ineffectual, and for several years he has ceased
forborne making any additions to the long course of vexation he had
undergone without effect.
