In that for a number
of Convicts as not exceeding
1000 every
year, nor much short
of that number, work
could, by means of S.B.
inventions, they being
employed in a Panopticon,
to an amount
sufficient to render
their earnings per
head upon an
average, equal to
2s 6d per day or some
other what considerable
sum.

1. To prove that by
the different works such as S.B.'s
taken all together
custom could have been
found, ex. gr. by the
reduction that might
have been made in
the price of the articles
for goods to the amount
of what could be made
by 1000 accordingly
instructed hands, without
the help of the machinery.

enquire of Mr Lloyd

the Fin Official Return
of the profits of Convicts
labours, the propriety competency
of the shape Evidence in
respect of shape be
questioned: to justify
it refer to the D.
accepted as evidence
of a mans death, it
being thus entered in
the books of the Navy
Office.

If N.B. the provision
for the compensation
would be nugatory
if in proof of the damage
the best evidence
actually obtainable be
not admitted. —
Such rejection would be
a disobedience to the Act.
