Complicated in some manner more or less with the Accounts those
for of the Year 1799 and 1800 the pecuniary Accounts
of the Year 1801 will be found stated and explained in pages 92, 93 and
94 of the Tract abovementioned Tract.

7. 1. From p.93. I obtain the following Article —
"Paid for cloathing and maintaining prisoners, and to Sheriffs
"for bringing convicts from the County Prisons" 22632 Dollars:65 Cents

8.2. The expense of bringing Convicts not belonging to
the principal case, ought on the present occasion to be
deducted: but, not finding any such separate article in the
Accounts of this year 1801, I turn to those of the next Year
1802 take, as and for the only means of approximation that can be made which the case affords
the d a charge made under this same head, as will be seen in the Accounts of
the next Year 1802 viz. — — — — —— 1633 Dollars: 44 Cents
9.3. Remains for prison expenditure 20,999:21

10.4 But Moreover upon casting up divers sums, contained in pages 23, 25, 27, &28
and 25 24, 28 I find for expence of Salaries + a total of 6625:6800

11.5 Added to the former article, this gives } 27024:8921

12.6 Per contra in p,92 I find in this one year in one single article
By manufactured Goods sold — — — 35,275D: 59C.

13.7 But in this article profit by earnings is complicated with
profit by reimbursement of capital, and with profit thereupon,
deducting interest on do advanced.

14.8 In p.94. I find it stated, that
"The net profit of the labour of the Convicts .. in the year 1801,
"produced from a capital employed not exceeding Doll. 20,000 was Doll.
D7,941:83.

The data being thus inconclusive, it seemed
best to me to have this case the Account of this Year in blank, and pass on
to the next, by from which a more satisfactory result will
be seen deducible.
