in which, under the Contract, my management of the prisoners,
and with it my profit, might and ought to have commenced, this
will give

1. From the 29 Sept. 1795 to 25 March 1813, years 17 1/2
2 From the 25 March 1813 to the decease of the survivor of
myself, aged 65 years, and my brother aged 56 years, - say - Years, 7.

Total of the term during which, according to the Agreement,
the receipt of the said profits ought to have continued, --- 24 1/2.

N.B. Of this term of 7 years, the assumption is made on
conjecture: but, for the purpose of computation, subject to correction,
it will serve as well as any other. For fixing it, the Arbitrators will,
I presume, deem it right to take the opinion of some scientific
person, acting professionally in this line. On turning to the
28th Finance report so often referred to, they will see that,
Ao 1798, on the subject of the same lives, reference was made
to M<hi rend="superscript">r Morgan,</hi> Actuary of one of the Life Insurance Companies,
