§. 11 . Profits received by the Claimant from the Land.
After speaking of my claims on the several accounts above
mentioned, and the "liberal compensation" which in respect of such
"claims" it is declared to be "just and reasonable" that "I should receive,"
"deducting "says the Act, 52. G .3. c. 44. §. 4.) "from such claims any
"profits which he may have derived from the Lands of which he has been
in possession as Feofee, under the Appointment mentioned above."
1. Of these profits, (including the year's profit to 25 March
1813, that has accrued since the land was taken out of my hands, of
which half has been received, the other half is about to be received
by me, from the Treasury under and by virtue of a clause in the Act).
of these profits, reckoning from August 1800 (the date of the first
receipt) the sum total is £6199 .. 9s .. 0.d.
Average, about £469 a year from that time —
2. But from this will be to be deducted for law
charges, exclusive of a small account not yet
liquidated, but for the liquidation of which measures
have been taken . . . . . .
£ 118 . 6s .. 7.d.
3. Remains therefore to be deducted as above £6059 .. 2s .. 5.d.
But, on this occasion, I will take the liberty of calling the
Mention of the Arbitrators once more, to what has been stated and
observed above, on the subject of the saving made, by my means on
the cost of that same land to Government.
