II Contract

And to the end that the amount of the indemnification-money
I know to be paid in such instance by the Governor
in the name of indemnification-money to be paid by the Governor in each instance
for Post-liberation Offences Felonies as well as the mode of ascertaining and recovering the same in
manner hereinafter
mentioned
particularized, may be the more
generally and authentically certainly known by all persons
concerned in interest to be informed thereof Be it
enacted that the sums so to be paid on the said account shall be
as follows: viz:

Indemnification-money
to be paid by
the Governor
In all cases where the offence is productive of pecuniary
damage to any individual or other party
and the amount of such damage as ought already by according to law
law to be found by the Jury, or shall can and
shall have been so found in pursuance of this Act,
the indem amount of the money so to be paid by him on account
shall (subject to the proviso herein immediately
mentioned) be equal to the value so of
found the goods stolen or to the amount of any
other damage so found.
Provided that the amount of such indemnification-money
the sum so to be paid by
the said Governor shall not in the respective events here
after mentioned exceed the respective sums hereafter
here mentioned, that is to say.
pp the Offender
£5; if the Offender had not been been a Prisoner
Penitentiary Prisoner for more than one year and no or more but less than two Years
£10, if not more than for two years or more but less
than three years.
