pleasure is that the Prisoner shall not be permitted
to enlist: and so with respect to the
service of the East India Company. Provided
that any time within the year aforesaid, the
Governor may on receiving information of his or if in the at any time previous to such day any one of
Majesty's plea was in the delivering the events should have happened on the happening of which
up the said Prisoner accordingly and so it is hereinafter provided that such Guardianship should
with respect to the E said Company. cease.

So also of any a Person having justified
as Friendly Bondsman Guardian do not by himself
or his Agent as aforesaid attend on the such
day as aforesaid, or if in the meantime any one of the events shall
they as aforesaid putting Prisoner shall be deemed
should have happened on the happening by which such Guardianship
is on the ground of insufficiency on the part of such Guardian as aforesaid
is made determinable in manner hereinafter mentioned, the Prisoner shall be
deemed engaged in the Metasylum as aforesaid.

Provided that After the opening of the
said Metasylum no Prisoner shall be called
upon to make his election as aforesaid more than
one year before the expiration of his Term, to
make his election as aforesaid.

Provided also that the Governor may at
any time relinquish his right to the service of
any P such quondam Prisoner in the Metasylum
and that as well either in favour of any Friendly
Bondsman Guardian, as in favour of the service of his Majesty
or the East India Company as aforesaid.

Art. 11. Previously to the such delivery of the every Prisoner
so inlisted as aforesaid, there shall be given him on the part of
the said Governor be given him (to serve him as an
eventual protection in the contingency herein-after-mentioned
against a charge of escape as herein after mentioned
a Certificate of Discharge and Inlistment: which
said certificate may be according to the Form marked
[D. ]: and an exact copy thereof shall also be kept
by the Governor at the said Penitentiary-House.
