Art. 1. Previously to the discharge of my Private Penitentiary Prisoner

Art. 1. Upon the engagement Previously to the entrance of any such Penitentiary
Prisoner or quondam Penitentiary Prisoner into
the in the Metasylum, whether immediately upon his
discharge from the said Penitentiary House, or upon
the expiration of any other of the options above mentioned,
an instrument of engagement under the name of
a Metasylum Service Engagement shall be executed
by and such Prisoner or quondam Prisoner and the
said Governor: which said instrument may be mutalis mutundis
according to the Form marked [E.1.]

Art. 2. Of such engagement there shall be triplicate
originals: one to be delivered to the Prisoner or quondam
Prisoner so engaging, the two others to be kept in the part
of the said Governor, one at the said Metasylum, the
other at the said Penitentiary House.
