IX Friendly Guardian
Emanicipatory Release

License is [...] from a Friendly Bondsman to his Ward
remitting more of less of his Power in the capacity of Master over the Ward.

Know all men that Whereas ⊞in pursuance of the Statute of the Day of 1794 and the Year of the Reign of his Majesty King George 3d Ch. § A.P. late a Penitentiary
man belonging to the General Panopticon
Penitentiary House was on the day of 17
at my on the application ⊞2 ⊞2 of me F.B. of Parish near Town in the County of or Street or Town in the County of Calling committed by the Governor thereof to my Wardship charge in
the new capacity of his Friendly Bondsman Guardian as appears
Bond of that date given to the said Governor
to by a also by his
by the said Governor deed of Assignment of that same
date as also by my Bond of the same date
given to him thereupon

And Whereas by the said Statute from authority
is given to under certain limitations to release in
any respect which it shall be here seen much
power is given to such Bondsman and such his Ward
power is given to such Bondsman over such the same as is possessed by a Master over any species
his Ward the same as to a Master over any of Servant at Common Law
species of Servant

And Whereas by the said Statute authority
is given under certain limitations to release in favour of the Ward any
part of such power] to empower him to live at large
and exempt from some subject to any such lawful conditions
and limitations as may have been agreed upon

Know all men therefore that in pursuance
of the said authority I have do hereby release
to him all my said power [inasmuch that he may
during the whole of the said term reside in such place and occupy himself in any such
manner as to him may seem most]⊞3 ⊞3 Except that he shall not [...] there if any special there be any particular acts things which it is intended the Ward shall not have at or his power to do
Provided that [...] of these are any particular things which it is intended the Ward shall be bound to do in return for those particularly allowed him [...] them

or in so far forth that he may [here state the

meant to be allowed state them] or such as to dwell
at such a place and to carr serve such or such a [...]
or to carry on such or such an occupation in his own account
and the property thereof to apply to his own use
without any hindrance from me decreeing the continuance
of the said term.
