Art. 8 And for the further more effectual prevention of further security of the said into Penitentiary
for secureth the neighbourhood from
Escaping and to prevent the said Penitentiary

Penitentiary House and molesting House to the molestation thereof and of the neighbourhood keep of
the same
Be it enacted that the Governor may cause to
be kept a Visiti two Books under the and somesuch name as that of the
Visiting Book, and the House Visiting Book
Visiting Visitor Book in which any person coming
to visit either any one prisoner may be required to enter in his own hand
with his or her name, occupation and abode adding thereto an
averment that the such direction is a sufficient
direction whereby the writer thereof may be found by
any person and in particular by the post: or if
such Visitor be unable to write, then to dictate such
direction as aforesaid, and thereunto say set his or her
mark, which signature shall be attested by the person
having such Book in charge.
Art. 9. So also a Book under the same any such name
as that of the House Visiting Book, in which
any person coming to visit the said Penitentiary
House may be required to write enter make his own a name to be written in like manner
as aforesaid.
