Any person applying for admittance as aforesaid
may moreover be searched as also his or
bundle or package as aforesaid
For the purpose of ascertaining
For the more effectual enforcement of the
said institution respecting the introduction of weapons
Art. Any person may previously to his or her such admittance
into the said Establishment be searched as also his
<add>or her bundles or packages as aforesaid by any
any bundle or package he may have with him by or by order of</add>
person having charge of any such Gate: or subsequently
to such admittance, by order of the Sub-Governor,
Chaplain or Surgeon of the said Establishment:
ment: provided that if the search persons searched
be of the female sex, and it should be judged
persons of the female sex only being employed
such search, in so far as the same not
females only being employed to search females, in
so far as the search can not without injury to female
delicacy modesty be performed by a person of the
male sex: and if any such weapon shall thereupon
be found the same shall become ipso facto forfeited
and may thereupon be seized to the use of the
Governor
of the said House.
