Sect. XII entitled Remittance of Felony – Indemnification-Money
Art. 1 For securing to the public the benefit of on the part of the Governor
for the benefit of the public, the punctual payment
of his indemnification-money as well as for the further prevention of escapes, be it enacted as
follows:
So soon as the process of marking the
Penitentiary Prisoners with their identification-marks
is accomplished the Governor shall cause
to be made an alphabetical list of their names
according to such marks and thereof restrict
together with an exact fac-simile or other copy
of each mark in a separate column opposite
the name: which said list shall be stated The
Table List of Penitentiary Prisoners Received Admissions
and thereof shall cause to be sent a copy (which
may be done by Post) to every Court holding
plea of Felony within Great Britain directed
to the Clerk or other proper Office thereof as
far as the list of such Courts can be composed obtained same can be ascertained and officially
to the several Courts contained in the Paper

said copies shall respectively be directed to the Clerk
or other proper Officer of each respective Court.
