others instances (either because by reason that no
part of such family hath as yet become chargeable
or that such a man or woman hath
had as yet no family) the an ascertainment of such business of ascertaining
Place of Settlement will ⊞ by a in operation proof as yet
unperformed Therefore For the better and more
timely ascertaining of all such as yet unascertained
Settlement

⊞ the expiration of the respective of the said Prisoner⊟ at the time when any such burthen as aforesaid

Such Place of Settlement will ⊞ ⊞ unless timely measures be taken before hand be at the sa time when
any such charge may take place to an
operation as yet unperformed: whereby
heavy and growing burthen might suddenly
fall upon such single Parish as aforesaid
might on the sudden find itself charged with a heavy and growing burthen as and that not only in
respect of the maintenance of such chargeable
persons but in respect of the much greater
charge of proceeding at law for the exonerating
itself at the expense of the several other Parishes
suppose to be chargeable, from which
several burthens it might be not for a long time have been able to
obtain full relief Therefore For a
better and more timely ascertaining of all
such as yet unascertained Settlements Be it
enacted
