Art. 6: Upon the completion of such examination as
aforesaid, the Justices who took the same shall if satisfied
with respect to the Place of Settlement as aforesaid, make an
order of Adjudication declaration thereof: annexing to such order
And whereas on the course of such examination
And whereas by reason of the obscurity or uncertainty
of the in such evidence or by reason
of prevarication in the same doubts may in the course of
such examination have arisen on the part of the said such examining Justices which said doubts the said
Justices may for want of the means
of the same if communicated
to the party private parties interested might for a by means of the local
knowledge of such parties or otherwise be finally effectually
cleared up And whereas in the course of such
examination proof might arise if reasonable grounds might arise for supposing the existence
of other evidence, inasmuch as the facts deposed
must if true have been known to certain other persons
so to be: but the said such persons at the time that either by
reason of the distance of their the respective abodes
of such persons or by reason of their said abodes not being
within the jurisdiction or for want of jurisdiction on the part of such Justices the it
may happen that the evidence of such persons can not for the purpose
of such examination be obtained: whereby,
although upon respect conveyance the face of such evidence as hath
been used in default of counter evidence while
as hath been given the same remains single and uncontradicted the
