And whereas the testimony of such examinant
though false and capable of effectual contradiction
by so sufficient witnesses might not be capable
of contradiction by witnesses to amenable to the
local jurisdiction aforesaid And whereas if such
Jurisdiction of any Magistrate by whom Justice
of the Peace for such County as aforesaid testimony
however false was known to be conclusive and
exempt as well from contradiction as from punishment,
the Institut reliable inhabitants of all Places of Settlement throughout England
would lie at the mercy of evil-minded
examinants no if Be it enacted
Upon the completion of the such examination
as aforesaid such Justice or justices
shall the examining Justices who took the same

of shall all declare and adjudge Settlement as aforesaid make an
