Settlement if such Parish had not been its place of
Settlement to be arranged be at the charge of such
Parish conveyed to the Metasylum as aforesaid:
to wit the Wife, if any, and unable to bear
the charge of such conveyance, and every such
child as in respect which my reason of its age tender infancy or inability
in other respects to provide for itself ought for
nurture or otherwise to be maintained under
the care of the Father or Mother thereof: and
if within one month after the receipt of such
Petition and Certificate such family shall
not have been conveyed and received as aforesaid, the Government
may provisionally take upon him pro himself the charge of
such conveyance, and the amount of such charge
having been allowed may after due allowance as aforesaid may be thereupon
be levied upon the goods and chattels of any such
Overseer in the same manner as the amount of
any such Quarterly account as aforesaid above-mentioned.

Provided that if any such Child, although
not as yet bound as an Apprentice should be
arrived at an age at which by law a Child
may at the instance of any such Overseer be so
bound, it shall be in the discretion of such Overseers
to cause such Child either to be so bound
or to be conveyed to the Metasylum as aforesaid.
