for that purpose: and such Clerk or other person
shall forthwith ⊞ ⊞ according to the total number so marked ⊞ under the und general entry of such num total number as aforesaid make a special entry under a number to each letter




said Book of the name or names of the person
or persons signing who appear to have signed or
written the each letter in which the corresponding number
has been together with the time and
place as dated and the number of sheets or
the portions of a sheets or both of which the said
letter is composed, and shall distinguish every such
entry by the number with which such letter shall
have been marked by the Postman as aforesaid.

Art. 16 In the said Transmission Issuing Book before on each day on the
delivery of the Letters of that day are delivered to the Postman
entry shall have been made in like manner
of the name or names several number of the letters included so
to be sent on that day delivered together with
his a copy of the add direction of each
Letter and a number designation of such letter thereof as above mentioned
And such Postman shall shall before he takes charge of any letter testify the his receipt
of every such letter thereof by marking or writing marking opposite
its number in the book his name or the
initials of his name as also writing marking or the said
and shall also make the same number upon the letter itself.

Art. 17 In t The said Governor shall also cause to be kept
in the said House a Letter Issuing Copy Book in which shall be kept a
true copy of every such Letter issued therefrom. And in such Book all
Letters as shall have been received through the said Post shall follow one
another
