Art. 27 And whereas for divers purposes and in
particular for the purpose of conveying to Courts of Justices in Courts of General Sessions Petitions on the part
of Overseers of the Poor for supplemental Examination
touching Settlements, as also to Justices deputed
by such Courts of Sessions to take the same the instruments
of Deputation addressed to them for that purpose by such Courts,
as also to such Overseers the memorandum of from any such Justices any such
Examination also upon when taken by such Justice who respectively
took the same it may be necessary that
divers persons that the said Magistrate and other persons respectively concerned
should for the purposes of this Act correspond not only with the the
another said Governor at the said Penitentiary
House but with one another Be it enacted
that all such correspondence ⊞ ⊞ relative to the public business of the said Penitentiary House as for the purpose of
this Act requires to be carried on between such
third persons may be carried on as aforesaid through the
channel of the said Penitentiary House by being
addressed to the Governor there as aforesaid: and
all such correspondence addressed to the said
Governor for the said purpose shall forthwith
be be franked as abovementioned by him as abovementioned and thereupon forwarded by him to the place of its destination,
detaining the same only one day if necessary
for the purpose of making any such copies
or memorandums as he may be concerned to take: and
