The idea of an angle is got from
that of figure by abstraction. The Idea
of figure may be resolved into its constituent

word Idea. My mistake is the effect of some
definition of an Idea as the image one has in
ones mind of certain things, thence I conclude that
I can have an Idea only of things affording images, Substances.
